Primary school leavers' service

The move from primary to secondary school can be daunting for many children. By offering a leavers’ service, churches can strengthen links between church and school while supporting children by celebrating and marking this important milestone in the wider context of faith.

Written by Emma Anderton – Children, Families & Youth Missioner at the Diocese of Chelmsford – this Primary School leavers’ service uses the imagery of a tree to reflect on God’s presence with us at times of change.
