Welcome to our November/December edition of Worship Together.

As we enter a new lectionary year, our weekly material focuses on learning to live life full of worship and wonder, marvelling at God’s work, and being ready to respond to God’s call.

Advent and Christmas provide many opportunities for our churches to connect with local communities. In The gift of Christmas, Tracey Messenger shares some engaging and creative events for churches to try this year, and Naomi Light's article Supporting marriages at Christmas gives helpful insights on how we can support relationships during this often busy and stressful season.

Our Reimagining Evangelism series concludes with an article entitled: Digital engagement. Christmas can be a great time for churches to promote events online, but this article also highlights the opportunities there are through the digital space to connect and encourage those exploring faith.

Looking ahead, many African churches will be seeing in the New Year with a watchnight service of prayer. Prayerfully stepping from today into tomorrow is a resource to help you plan a watchnight service, full of creative ways to look back at 2026 and look forward with prayer for the coming year.

Finally, we are pleased to welcome the Uniting Church in Australia (Synod of Victoria and Tasmania) as one of our new Roots’ partners; also, the Baptist Union of Great Britain have now officially joined the Roots ecumenical partnership. We are delighted to be able to help resource more churches with these partnerships, and look forward to learning more from each other as we collaborate further.

Wishing you a time of much wonder and encouragement in your churches over these months.
